Leadership Development

Don Bosco Workers, Inc. is committed to leadership development of it members and advocates. It is critical that we are involved in developing the next generation of leaders and organizers who can effectively shape both the current vision and strategy for workforce development and integration, and a vision for the future.

Leadership development is even more critical as our nation moves towards comprehensive immigration reform that will offer a path to citizenship for qualifying undocumented workers. Worker centers like ours will be important to integrating community leaders, faith based organizations, schools, government, etc. so they can work together to improve access to resources.

Don Bosco Workers, Inc. has retained Sherpa Educational Consulting, a leading firm in the use of popular education methods to foster leadership and organizational development.

“The Don Bosco Hiring center gives me the daily opportunity to find work that pays a fair wage. As a member of the Don Bosco Workers Inc, I am part of a community of workers concerned with making a living wage and overcoming barriers to my participation in society, including jobs, affordable housing and the opportunity for US citizenship.”
